The Women’s Heart Foundation presents the Women’s Heart Advocate Award for Medicine and Science to Multifunction CardioGram™ Inventor Dr. Joseph T. Shen
Port Washington, NY - February 11, 2010: Premier Heart, LLC proudly announces that the Women’s Heart Foundation
will honor Joseph T. Shen, M.D., the inventor of the Multifunction
CardioGram™ (MCG™) with its Medical and Science Achievement Award.
"The Women’s Heart
Foundation is pleased to recognize Dr. Joseph T. Shen with the Women’s
Heart Advocate Award for Leadership in Science and Medicine," stated
Bonnie Arkus, Women's Heart Foundation president and founder. "Dr.
Shen’s invention of the Multifunction CardioGram
represents a major breakthrough in cardiology. The test is quick,
non-invasive, risk free and has a high degree of reliability in both
women and men in the diagnosis of ischemic heart disease. By
recognizing Dr. Shen, we hope to raise awareness of ischemic heart
disease and promote widespread use of the Multifunction CardioGram to
save more hearts and more lives."
MCG™
is the world’s first Internet based non-invasive, stress, radiation and
drug free computational electrophysiological system, providing an
objective early detection of Ischemia caused by Coronary Arterial
Disease to save lives.
“I
am very humbled and honored by this award, which I accept on behalf of
all those who have devoted their professional lives to the development
of MCG technology,” said Joseph T. Shen, MD, founder of Premier Heart.
The Red Dress Luncheon
commemorates National Women’s Heart Week and serves as a platform to
educate the public about heart disease in women during February, which
is National Heart Month.
Keynote speaker for the event will be John E. Strobeck, MD, PhD, FACC,
a practicing cardiologist and user of MCG, who stated: “The
Multifunction CardioGram will become a major force in fighting heart
disease at the earliest stages, and with Highmark Medicare’s recent
approval of MCG as a ‘new technology’, many patients will benefit from
the early confirmation of the presence or absence of significant
coronary disease when symptoms of chest discomfort occur."
